Students At Purdue Answered The “Number of Licks” Question
Nearly everyone has seen a commercial in which the famous owl asks “How many licks does it take to reach the center of a Tootsie Pop?” Well, a group of students at Purdue took the question seriously and performed a study! They found that using an automated licking machine, it took 364 licks to reach the center. However, if given to an actual human, the average number of licks was significantly smaller, at 252!

Prior to World War II, the Three Musketeers candy was actually made up of three different bars: chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. Each packet contained one of each flavor.
